My Newborn Photography Style

is very clean and organic. In the studio, I utilize whites, neutrals, and jewel tones that compliment the classic beauty of your baby. Heirlooms or special items are happily incorporated. The natural sweetness of your baby is allowed to shine through in clean, understated, and cozy setups. Little toes, chubby cheeks, and fine baby eyelashes are details that will be all too fleeting. I capture baby's sweet features so that you can remember them long after the whirlwind of the newborn stage.

When should I schedule my newborn photography session?

Ideally before baby arrives! I open bookings for all sessions types 5 months ahead of time, and I accept up to 5 newborn session due dates a week to ensure availability.

Do we need to book for a specific session date now?

Since babies come on their own timeline, we don't need to schedule right now for a specific date. When you book a session, I save time in my calendar based on your due date. After baby is born, we will finalize a session date for when your newborn is 5-14 days old.

How soon should I have my newborn photography session after baby arrives?

The first two weeks of life are preferable, with 6-10 days old being the sweet spot. Around two weeks old, babies become less sleepy and it is more difficult to achieve that peaceful, dreamy, womb-like look. I offer newborn photography sessions for babies up to 21 days old, though there is some flexibility on this timeline for preemies! If you are unable to get scheduled within 21 days, not to worry. Three month milestone sessions are also available!

Are photos with siblings and parents included?

The Newborn and Family session includes photos with parents and siblings. Grandparents can also participate in the session for an additional $50, which includes another edited photo.

Can you share your pricing? Are digitals included?

Full pricing for the two types of newborn photography sessions I offer can be viewed on my pricing page. All packages include a set number of full resolution, edited images of your choice from your proof gallery, with additional edited images available to purchase. You can choose your favorites from the comfort of your home, and there are never any high-pressure sales meetings. I recommend Mpix for printing your memories for display.

How long do newborn photography sessions take?

Newborn sessions average about an hour in length, and newborn sessions with family average around an hour and 45 minutes. We are on baby's schedule, so feeding and soothing as necessary is encouraged and factored into the time set aside for these sessions.

Do you supply wraps, baskets, blankets, and headbands? Can I bring something to include?

Of course! The studio is equipped with everything needed for the session. Choose from timeless wraps, blankets, and accessories. Nothing fussy here, comfy and understated setups that keep the focus on your beautiful newborn. If there is a special item, outfit, or accessory you would like me to incorporate, I'm happy to do so!

Where do the sessions take place?

Newborn sessions take place in my central northwest Houston studio. The studio is located in a one-story commercial building with a dedicated entrance and parking right up front for your convenience. It is equipped with everything needed for a newborn photography session. There are numerous baskets, blankets, wraps, and headbands for you to choose from. A changing table, sitting area, change room / nursing nook, and restroom are all dedicated and within the studio. YOu can see photos of the space here.

What is the turn around time on my images?

After your session, you will receive a proof gallery in 5 business days. Edited images will be ready to download 7 business days after your selections are made.

When do newborn photography sessions take place? Do you offer weekend sessions for newborns?

Newborn photography sessions take place Monday - Friday at either 9:00 or 10:30 am. Due to the amount of time set aside for these sessions, I don't schedule them on weekends.
